DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING WASTE STEEL REINFORCEMENT

PURPOSE: Provided are a device and a method for recycling a waste steel reinforcement, which can improve corrosion resistance and adhesive force to concrete by removing rust from waste steel reinforcement, applying a polymer on the surface of waste steel reinforcement, and heat treating the reinforcement. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) collecting a waste steel reinforcement and removing rust from the surface of the waste steel reinforcement, (ii) applying liquid, which is prepared by dissolving a polymer in an emulsifier and an organic solvent, to the surface of the reinforcement, and (iii) heat treating the waste steel reinforcement applied with the liquid in dry furnace at 25-70 deg.C. The polymer is PVC(polyvinyl chloride), ABS(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), PB(polybutene) and PS(polystyrene) type of polymer.
