PURPOSE: A lighting apparatus using microwaves is provided to optimize a position of a lamp by installing a lamp position control portion at a rotary axis for connecting a lamp motor with the lamp. CONSTITUTION: A magnetron(51) generates microwaves. A high voltage generator(57) boosts alternating power source. A waveguide(53) is connected with the magnetron(51) in order to transmit the microwaves. A lamp(55) generates light by microwave energy transmitted from the waveguide(53). A resonator(60) is installed in front of the waveguide(53) and the lamp(55) in order to intercept the microwaves and transmit the light. A lamp position control portion(80) changes a position of the lamp(55) within the resonator(60). A reflective mirror(56) reflects the light of the lamp(55) to a front direction of the lamp(55). The lamp position control portion(80) is formed with a variable shaft(66), a fixing shaft(67), and a solenoid type electromagnet(81). A conductor portion is formed at the variable shaft(66). A return spring is formed at the variable shaft(66).
