PURPOSE: A radio path tracing apparatus and method using a hexahedral modeling technique are provided to easily tracing a radio path proceeding while undergoing reflection and transmission and easily obtain a parameter such as a radio path loss and delay spread by simulation by modeling the entire interior of a three-dimensional building with a unique and various structure by hexahedron. CONSTITUTION: A building structure data input unit(11) defines regularly 8 apex numbers and 6 side numbers by modeling an internal structure of a building as a hexahedron and inputs a coordinate value of each apex and an electric constant value of the sides. A coefficient calculator(12) calculates a reflection coefficient and a transmission coefficient by using the coordinate value of each apex and the electric constant value of the sides inputted from the building structure data input unit(11). An equation calculator(13) expresses a radio proceeding on the basis of a transmission point from which radio is initiated as a linear equation and obtains a plane equation from four apexes within the same side number. A node calculator(14) obtains a reflection point and a transmission point existing on a wall side by using the linear equation and the plane equation obtained by the equation calculator(13). A parameter calculator(15) obtains a parameter such as a path loss and a delay spread of radio when the radio reaches a receiving point after passing the reflection point and the transmission point obtained by the node calculator(14).
