<p>PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of regenerative thermal magnetite bricks using steel shells, byproducts, at low temperature is provided. The resultant bricks are used for electric hot blower and electric boiler requiring good efficiency at high temperature. CONSTITUTION: The bricks are manufactured by the following steps: thermal treating steel shells(Fe content<=67%) generated from steelmaking industry at 300-450deg.C for 12hrs. or more to form Fe2O3; thermal treating hematite and magnetite at 250-400deg.C for 10hrs.; grinding the above materials to more than 3mm(30%), 1mm(35%), and 0.088mm(35%) in size; mixing 20-40wt.% of hematite, 10-20wt.% of magnetite, 39-59wt.% of steel shells, 5-10wt.% of clay(200mesh), and 5-10wt.% of sodium silicate for 15min. or more; pressing under pressure more than 300ton; drying at 50-80deg.C over 10hrs.; and sintering at 250-350deg.C.</p> |
