PURPOSE: A pedal having a split type cover is provided to prevent wrong operation of hydraulic and mechanical pedals operated in two directions. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic or mechanical pedal(10) has a cover operable and rotatable in two directions. Left and right covers(13,14) are separated from each other so as to be independently rotatable. A jaw is formed on at least one of the left and right covers and opens or closes the pedal(10) by individually or simultaneously rotating the left and right covers(13,14).
