PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patent information recording medium for technical trend analysis which enables accurate and easy analysis of technical trends based upon patent gazettes and improvement in the reliability of the analysis result. SOLUTION: The medium comprises a bibliographic item version where bibliographic items of patent applications is recorded, a technical outline version where technical outlines are recorded based upon abstracts of the patent applications, and a data version where various data in the specification of the patent applications are recorded. The data version is composed of keywords of up to prescribed high order on the basis of description in at least problems to be solved by an invention, means for solving the problems, the effects of the invention and explanation of symbols in the specification.
