PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device easy to process a jammed sheet. SOLUTION: A sheet is heated and pressurized, and then, toner image is fixed onto the sheet by a fixing means 7A equipped with a heating means 7 for heating the sheet with a transferred toner image after the toner image is transferred to the sheet and a pressurizing means 11 for nipping and carrying the sheet together with the heating means 7 while coming into press contact with the heating means 7. Besides, in the case where a cover 10 which is arranged in the device main body so as to be freely opened/closed, is opened, the pressurizing means 11 is released from being driven by a driving means, and also, the heating means 7 and the pressurizing means 11 for the fixing means 7A are released from coming into press contact with each other.
