PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition for dry cleaning, having excellent soil redeposition preventing properties, smoothness, softness, etc., without impairing performances such as detergency, etc., usable by addition to a silicone- based solvent and to provide a method for cleaning. SOLUTION: This detergent composition for dry cleaning comprises 2-50 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from an amino-modified silicone and its salt and 50-98 wt.% of one or more kinds selected from silicone-based solvents and dissolution auxiliaries. Especially the amino-modified silicone is represented by general formula (1) (Z1 is -CH3, OCH3, -NH2 or -OH; Z2 is -CH3, -OCH3, -R1NH2NH2, -R3NH2 or a group of formula (2); R1 to R4 are each a 1-5C alkylene group; x+y is 100-2,000; amine equivalent is 250-40,000).
