PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the efficient use of the transmission line characteristics and also to simply improve the amplitude characteristics when an audio signal is transmitted through the transmission line which permits high transmission rate in connection with an audio signal transmission unit such as a digital audio taperecorder or the like, for instance, by which the audio signal is converted into a digital signal with a high sampling frequency and by which the magnetic tape is recorded. SOLUTION: Prior to requantizing and transmitting a digital audio signal D2, noise is shaped in such a way as to suppress requantization noise in the audio frequency band. Thereby quantization noise in the audio frequency band is forced out from the audio frequency band. |
