摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switching element which is high in optical sensitivity by selecting the material of charge generating layers used for the optical switching element and to provide a device, optical writing type recording medium, display device and writing device using such optical switching element. SOLUTION: The optical switching element which is the photoconductive switching element for switching of a function element which is formed by successively laminating at least an electrode layer, the lower charge generating layer, charge transfer layer and the upper charge generating layer on a substrate and is driven by an AC electric field or AC current and in which, the charge generating materials of at least the upper charge generating layer in the lower charge generating layer and the upper charge generating layer are chlorogallium phthalocyanine, hydroxygallium phthalocyanine and titanyl phthalocyanine having the specific crystalline structure expressed by the Bragg angle in X-ray diffraction spectra, the device formed by coupling this element and the function element, optical writing recording medium, the display device and the writing device.</p>
