<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a side cover with its own weight at a specified angle at the beginning of lock release and thereafter apply the brake to the opening of the side cover in opening/closing the side cover of an automatic gate. SOLUTION: A gate body 14 is provided with a free pin 50 with a long neck part 52 and a large-diameter head part 54 at the upper end. The neck part 52 is inserted through a hole 36 provided in one hinge plate 32 of a hinge means 30 so that the hinge plate 32 is vertically movable in a range of neck length L up to the head part 54. The hinge means 30 is provided with a braking function or a damper function so as to impede the free rotation of a shaft part 42. Consequently, when the lock of the side cover 20 is released, one hinge plate 32 is moved up to the head part 54 of the free pin 50 by the own weight of the side cover 20, and the side cover 20 is opened in the state of inclining at a specified angle. Thereafter, the side cover 20 is opened against the braking function or slowly opened by damper action.</p> |
