PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing sanitary wares suitable to suppress generation of defects in a part where a glaze is to be applied, and to provide sanitary wares manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing sanitary wares includes a process of injecting the source material of the ware into a forming die for the sanitary ware to obtain a green body of the ware, a process of impregnating the green body with an aqueous solution of water-soluble metal salts and/or an aqueous solution containing water-soluble metal ions and/or an aqueous solution of water-soluble halogen compounds, a process of forming a glaze layer on a required part of the green body and a process of calcining the body at 800 to 1300 deg.C.
