PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing electrophotographic photoreceptors in which all substrates can be simply and easily coated in a uniform film thickness by multiple dip coating and to provide a method for producing the photoreceptors. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for producing electrophotographic photoreceptors with a coating tank 4 filled with a coating liquid 5 in which a plurality of cylindrical electrically conductive substrates are simultaneously dipped, the coating tank 4 has a plurality of openings 12 into which the coating liquid 5 overflows when the cylindrical electrically conductive substrates are dipped in correspondence with the number of the substrates and also has a smaller number of coating liquid supply ports 14 than the number of the openings 12. The openings 12 are made lower in the vertical direction in accordance with the increase of the distance from the coating liquid supply ports 14.
