PURPOSE: An electroluminescence device is provided to achieve an improved reliability by easily releasing the heat generated during the drive of panel of electroluminescence device. CONSTITUTION: An electroluminescence device comprises a pixel area defined by scan lines and data lines formed onto a transparent substrate(1); a switching element(100) arranged at the crossing section between the scan line and data line; a pixel electrode(2) formed onto the pixel area; a protective layer(101) formed all over the surface including the pixel electrode; an electroluminescence layer(EL)(3) formed onto the pixel electrode; a metal electrode(4) formed onto the pixel area including the EL layer; a seal cover plate(7) for sealing the EL layer; a seal agent(6) for joining the seal cover plate and the transparent substrate; and a heat release layer(10) formed onto the metal electrode.
