PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a difficult request for the realization of an image effect by image matching easily with high quality and light data. SOLUTION: An image input part 12 inputs a first image I1 and a second image I2. A region specifying part 32 specifies a first region and a second region to the first image and second image respectively. A matching processor 14 carries out pixel matching between the images and obtains a corresponding point on the second image in regard to the lattice point of mesh taken on the first image. The result is recorded as a corresponding point file F. An intermediate image generating part 18 generates an intermediate image between the first image and second image on the basis of the corresponding point file F. Since the corresponding point file is formed only of lattice points, the data capacity is extremely small, and morphing and compression of an animation are easily realized.
