PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phone that allows a user to be able to recognize whether or not an opposite party is an opposite party whose call has arrived before at the arrival of an incoming call from an unknown opposite party no registered in a telephone directory memory. SOLUTION: When a caller number obtained by the caller number notice method is not registered in the telephone directory memory, the caller number is automatically registered to the telephone directory memory together with a 'fixed form registration name' (e.g. date and time of the arrival of an incoming call). The 'fixed form registration name' (date and time of the arrival of a preceding incoming call) is read from the telephone directory memory from the 2nd arrival of the incoming call and an LCD display section 19 displays the 'fixed form registration name'.
