PURPOSE: A washing machine and a method for displaying a washing course screen of the washing machine are provided to display a washing course screen selected via a personal computer, thereby increasing the satisfaction of users. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine for displaying a washing course screen includes a load part(140) having a motor, a water supply valve and a drain valve for driving inner and outer tubs or a pulsator, a key input part(100) for inputting instructions of a user, a readable/writable storing part(160) for storing washing machine-related information such as the operation algorithm, the use history and washing course screens of the washing machine, a display part(150) for displaying a washing course screen selected by the user and the operation state of the washing machine, an interface part(160) for data exchange with an external communication unit, and a system microcomputer(170) for controlling the download, storing and displaying of a washing course screen selected by the user. |
