PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat a heat exchanger rapidly up to a proper temperature at the time of starting up a fuel reforming apparatus without making the fuel reforming apparatus large-scaled. SOLUTION: At the time of start-up of the fuel reforming apparatus, namely at a warming operation, a controller 50 works to switch a 1st three way valve 30 to connect an evaporation part discharge pipe 20 with an intermediate connection pipe 22 and a 2nd three way valve 31 to connect the intermediate connection pipe 22 with a heat exchanger introducing pipe 23. A steam mixture of a reforming raw material with steam, which consists of the reforming raw material produced in an evaporator 112 and water, is supplied to the heat exchanger 40. The steam mixture is condensed at the time of passing through a 1st fluid passage 41 of the heat exchanger 40 which has a temperature lower than the temperature of the steam mixture. The temperature of the heat exchanger 40 is uniformly raised by the condensation latent heat generated at the time of condensing the steam mixture. |
