PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire whose rechargeable battery is easy to exchange and which is capable of making its embedding height small. SOLUTION: In the luminaire that has its body 1 embedded in an embedding cavity provided in the ceiling, with a lighting apparatus part 17, on the side of the apparatus body 1, projecting sideways from the radius of the embedding cavity, together with a rechargeable battery 9 provided as a power source for emergency lighting; a rechargeable battery accommodating part 2 that houses a rechargeable battery 9 capable of being connected to and separated from the apparatus body 1 by means of a connector 19, is provided on the opposite side of the lighting apparatus 17 with respect to the center of the apparatus body 1, projecting outward from the apparatus body 1 radially from the embedding cavity, and this rechargeable battery accommodating part 2 is so constituted that it can be variably fitted without projecting from the apparatus body 1 at the time of affixing the apparatus body 1 to the ceiling surface. |
