PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery that can prevent a cap valve 5 from being drawn into an exhaust stack 3b and greatly bending by a negative pressure in a battery jar 1. SOLUTION: A back face of the cap valve 5 is supported by inserting a valve support provided with a ventilating port 7a near a discharging port in the exhaust stack 3b of a cover 3. Leg sections 7b of a pawl section 7c protruding from the bottom end of a valve support 7 are locked to the edge of an entrance end of the bottom end of the exhaust stack 3b.
