PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inversion mechanism for an I.S.(individual section) machine having a revolving shaft including a fastened gear. SOLUTION: A drive assembly 8 having an elongated member (rack member) engages the gear 6 and rotates the revolving shaft 4. The rack member has a hole 42 extending from one end fastened with a nut and this nut screwably accepts a threaded portion of a drive rod which is a driven screw. The drive rod is connected to an electric servo motor 36 through an overload safety joint and when a drive lock is rotated by the servo motor, the nut moves to move the rack member to an upper advance position from a retraction position.
