PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval environment which is user-friendly and easy to use. SOLUTION: An origin server 20 has an utterance specifying block which specifies a user's utterance, specifies the contents by matching the user's utterance against a user utterance collection, and transfers the processing to a specialized server which should respond. On the specialized server, an agent answers the user's utterance and retrieves and presents a web site which has information that the user desires. When the user makes a request to register the web site, a bookmark registration part classifies and registers its URL in one of folders provided for each technical field. The registered bookmark information is classified for each folder and presented to the user.
