PURPOSE: A check valve of an engine oil is provided to prevent the draining of an engine oil by surely closing a valve seat. CONSTITUTION: A check valve(1) is installed on an oil supply path(2). A valve seat(4) is prepared in a valve chamber(3). The valve seat is opened and closed by a ball(5). The ball is retained by a retainer(6). The retainer is supported on a return spring(7). Plate members(9) are connected to the lower ends of the retainer. A pad body(10) is attached to the plate member. A compressive spring(11) connects the end portion of the plate member with the upper portion of the retainer. The plate member is forced to be opened by the elasticity of the compressive spring. The pad body performs first sealing. The oil passing through the pad body is blocked up by the ball.
