PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device equipped with a plurality of image forming units capable of forming a stable color image with little image density irregularity. SOLUTION: Photoreceptor drums 24C and 24K are arranged at positions where they are opposed to a primary transfer roller 14 so as to hold a transfer belt 11 in between, and photoreceptor drums 24M and 24Y are arranged at positions where they are opposed to a primary transfer roller 15 so as to hold the belt 11 in between. By matching with each other the transfer timing of a toner images of two image forming units (image forming units 21C and 21K or image forming units 21M and 21Y) to the belt 11, the toner images by the two image forming units are transferred simultaneously. Not only the number of primary transfer rollers is made small but also image density is adjusted as a whole because either toner image having low transfer pressure and low density is transferred when the other toner image having high transfer pressure and high density is transferred to the primary transfer roller because of eccentricity.
