<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator device for a vehicle for realizing an increase in a generating capability at a low rotation time, and an improvement in generating efficiency at a high rotation time while suppressing an increases in a circuit cost, loss and heating. SOLUTION: A rotor side core (core section except a stator core of a magnetic circuit of a field winding synchronous machine) of a field winding synchronous machine for generating is formed in a shape having a smaller magnetic reluctance, in the direction perpendicular to the direction of a current field magnetic field than that in the direction of the current field magnetic field (hereinafter referred to as an 'inverted magnetic salient pole type rotor core shape') to improve a power factor at a generating time.</p> |
