COOLING MECHANISM IN COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a shaft sealing means mounted between the whole housing and a rotating shaft for sealing the inside of the whole housing of a compressor. SOLUTION: A mechanical seal composed of a seal mechanism 36 and a seal mechanism 37, and a seal mechanism 35 composed of a lip seal are mounted on an insertion hole 40 through which the rotating shaft 13 is inserted. Suction passages 301, 305 are formed in a supporting housing 30 and communicated with the insertion hole 40. An inlet 402 of the insertion hole 40 is located just above the rotating shaft 13, and an outlet 403 of the insertion hole 40 is located just under the rotating shaft 13. The suction passages 301, 305 are communicated with a suction chamber 121 through suction passages 312, 193 formed on a front housing 11 and a cylinder 19.
