<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability regarding a printing operation and to normally complete printing without an erroneous termination even when using a hand-held personal computer. SOLUTION: When a sufficient free area is provided in a RAM 11 of the hand-held personal computer 1, after image data delivered from an application are converted to printing data, the printing data are temporarily stored as a spool file in the RAM 11. At the point of time of storing the entire printing data and the spool file is completed, a printing processing in the application is released and the printing data inside the spool file are sent to a printer 5 in the background. To the contrary, when the sufficient free area is not provided in the RAM 11 of the hand-held personal computer 1, without temporarily storing the entire printing data as the spool file, the image data of a raster unit delivered from the application are converted to the printing data, the printing data are successively sent to the printer 5 in the foreground and the printing processing is performed.</p> |
