<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively recycling a siloxane-bond- crosslinked polymer into a raw material for the polymer. SOLUTION: This method comprises heat-treating a polymer having crosslinkages through siloxane bonds in the molecule by contact thereof with a high-temperature alcohol. In most eases, the temperature of the alcohol is the one at which the covalent bonds, except siloxane bonds, of the polymer to be recycled are not thermally decomposed. The alcohol desirably used is exemplified by methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, n- or i-propyl alcohol, n- or i-butyl alcohol, n- or i-pentyl alcohol, or a mixture thereof.</p> |
