PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can realize correction of concentration irregularity to the whole surface with real time, and precisely at a low cost. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with an output pattern discriminating means (synchronous memory 72-1, address control 72-3, CPU read/write 72-4, CPU 72-5) which reads and discriminates an output pattern in order to read image formation characteristics before normal image formation processing is performed, and a table conversion process switching means (system controller 50) which switches over table conversion process according to reading results by the output pattern discriminating means. |
