PRE-BOKE CONTROLLING METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of gear noise when a shift operation is performed for a reverse gear just after a clutch is disconnected during traveling or during slow speed traveling. SOLUTION: When a relative rotation detected by a sensor exists between an input shaft and an output shaft when a gear shift command is outputted in an automatic transmission for operating an automatic gear shift of a manual transmission, the relative rotation between the input shaft and the output shaft is reduced below a fixed value by temporarily applying one synchro of a forward gear provided with synchros and subsequently a shift operation to a reverse gear for which the gear shift command of final engagement is given is performed by releasing the temporary application of the synchro of the gear, in a pre-boke controlling method for the automatic transmission.
