PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition that has high initial adhesion rate, gives dried coating layer of high elastic modulus, heat resistance and water resistance with reduced sedimentation of the filler in no need of any plasticizer and vinyl acetate monomer in order to efficiently obtain paper bobbins that have excellent heat resistance, water resistance, high-temperature and high-humidity strength with extremely reduced alteration in the pressure capacity of the paper tube. SOLUTION: The objective adhesive composition is prepared by using polyvinyl alcohol as a protective colloid, and singly polymerizing a (meth)acrylic monomer or emulsion (co)polymerizing the (meth)acrylic monomer together with other monomers copolymerizable therewith in the presence of inorganic filler. The objective paper bobbin is produced by rolling the base paper into cylindrical layers and bonding the layers with this adhesive composition.
