PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape recognition sensor and a shape recognition method, capable of measuring a three dimensional shape of a measuring object. SOLUTION: This shape recognition sensor has an electrode part constituted by arranging at least two electrode members formed by regularly arranging electrodes like a matrix on the surface or the inside of a flexible, elastic, insulating film or the like; an electric output means outputting an electric signal having a specified value to the electrode of each electrode member; and an electrically measuring means electrically measuring an electric signal produced between the electrodes of each electrode member.
