INTEGRATED METHOD FOR CREATING REFRESHABLE WEB QUERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To graphically create a refreshable Web query by selecting tabular data displayed in a Web page. SOLUTION: When a user calls a refreshable Web query command, an Internet browser module is activated within a Web query dialog box opened inside a table calculation program. The user graphically selects at least one instance of the tabular data to be imported to the spreadsheet program. Also, the function makes the Web queries more accessible to the user and is embedded in a software utility known as a Web Query Smart Tag(WQST) utility. By the WQST utility, the Web query is directly created from the Internet browser module in one of several methods.
