PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube device which enables to obtain superior resolution uniform over the entire screen by reducing the difference between the focusing power of lens action which acts on a central beam and a side beam, respectively. SOLUTION: The main lens of an electron gun structure consists of a sixth grid G6, a seventh grid GM1, an eighth grid GM2 and a ninth grid G9. In the region toward the cathode from the main lens, an asymmetrical lens is formed between a fifth grid G5 and the sixth grid G6, which has asymmetry in lens action to an electron beam in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction as well as has a lens power changing in synchronizing with the electron beam deflection. The asymmetrical lens has asymmetry to the central beam which is different from that to the side beam.
