PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board holding tool capable of more easily implementing a work for removing a board than in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: A board holding tool 1 is fixed to a main board B1, with a sub-board B2 being held at a mounting position. When an operating part 4 is actuated and an engagement part 5 is allowed to swing from a first position (indicated by Figure 4 (a)) to a second position (indicated in Fig. 4 (b)), a part P2 to be butted formed in the sub-board B2 is pressurized by a substrate- pressuring part 7, and the sub-board B2 is moved in a direction (indicated by arrow D2 in the Fig.) that the sub-board B2 is made removable from the mounting position. A contact part C2, formed on the sub-board B2, is pulled out of a connector C1 mounted on the main board B1, according to the movement of the sub-board B2 so that the sub-board B2 can be pulled out of the board holding tool 1, without using as a large force as that, when the contract part C2 is fit into the connector C1, afterwards.
