PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyorganosiloxane foam material capable of forming a foam having uniform and fine cells by using a simple apparatus, to obtain a foam by heating the foam material, and to provide a method for producing the foam. SOLUTION: There are provided a polyorganosiloxane foam material comprising (A) an alkenyl-containing polyorganosiloxane, (B) a polyorganohydrogensiloxane, (C) a platinum compound, (D) microcapsules each having an organic resin shell with a softening point of 50-150 deg.C, (E) fused silica, and (F) water, an alcohol and/or a silanol-group-containing polyorganosiloxane; a foam is obtained by heating the foam material and a method for producing the foam is disclosed.
