PURPOSE: A refrigerator using nitrogen is provided to prevent spoiling and deterioration of food due to oxygen. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes a food storage chamber(30) placed on a cold passage and having a space for foods to be stored in; and a nitrogen maintaining device comprising a pressurizing pump(40) blowing air to the food storage chamber and a nitrogen extractor placed between the food storage chamber and the pressurizing pump and extracting nitrogen from air flowing in to the food storage chamber to flow into the food storage chamber to prevent oxidation of the foods in the food storage chamber by keeping the food storage chamber full of nitrogen.
