METHOD FOR PROTECTING COOLING PLATE OF BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE: A method for protecting a cooling plate of a blast furnace is provided to extend life cycle of the cooling plate by connecting a refractory material having strong durability to the front part of the cooling plate that is projected into the body of the blast furnace in advance. CONSTITUTION: In a method for protecting a cooling plate(1) projected into the body of a blast furnace in an iron mill, the method for protecting the cooling plate of the blast furnace comprises the steps of processing a boundary surface(9) inside a refractory material matrix(12) into a saw-tooth shape; adhering the sintered refractory material(8) for protecting the cooling plate onto the processed boundary surface(9) after sintering a refractory material(8) for protecting the cooling plate; inserting the cooling plate(1) into an original position that is installed on the body of the blast furnace after the refractory material sintering and adhering step; and infiltrating injection refractories into minute gaps between the refractory material(8) for protecting the cooling plate and the cooling plate(1) after the cooling plate inserting step.
