PURPOSE: A device for automatically attaching a marking tape on the surface of a container is provided to improve productivity and convenience in the attachment of a marking tape onto the uneven surface of a container by restraining crumpling. CONSTITUTION: An automatic marking tape attaching device includes a speed reducer(14) for transmitting the power transmitted from a first motor to a drive shaft. Hydraulic devices(21,22) for stopping and rotating a marking tape roll or a rear sheet roll are installed on the upper panel of a body. A third motor is installed on the bottom face of a lower panel. Clutches(31,32) are installed on one end of a chuck. A brake is installed on a spindle of the chuck. More than one auxiliary rollers are substituted with movable shaft auxiliary rollers. A hydraulic device(15) having a pressure maintaining device is installed in a press roller assembly. Support members are installed around the press roller. A press roller head support for guiding the movement of a press roller head and supporting the weight of the press roller head is added to the press roller assembly. The device is adjusted depending on the inclination of a container. Thus, the marking tape is attached without crumpling.
