PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material applying apparatus in which the residual amount of fluid material in a cartridge housing part can be confirmed from the outside. SOLUTION: The material applying apparatus is constituted in such a way that a non-translucent fluid material 201 packed in a translucent cartridge vessel 200 is sent forcibly and discharged by a translucent plunger 203 in the cartridge vessel 200. The material applying apparatus is provided with: the cartridge housing part 110 for housing the cartridge vessel 200; a pair of through-holes 110a, 110b which are formed in the cartridge housing part 100 so as to expose a part of the cartridge vessel 200 and arranged opposite to each other; a transparent window 140 for sealing the pair of through-holes 110a, 110b; and a floodlight 150 arranged on the side of one 110b of the pair of through-holes 110a, 110b for emitting light toward the direction of the other through-hole 110a.
