PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that points are illegally used by changing passwords each time the points are used and also issuing electronic exchange ticket of money corresponding to the points and to effectively return issued points by issuing the electronic exchange ticket for money at the time when the accumulated points reach a prescribed numerical value and further attaching an expiration date for use to the electronic exchange ticket for money. SOLUTION: This electronic points management system 10 changes point card PIN codes (point card password) and notifies the member of the changed point card PIN code about the change, each time a member makes a purchase at an Internet shop 2 and points balance is changed. The system 10 issues the electronic exchange ticket for money when the points balance reaches prescribed points. The shop 2 transmits a user ID, the point card PIN code, an exchange ticket for money PIN code (exchange ticket for money password) to the system 10. The system 10 authenticates the member and the exchange ticket for money on the basis of the user ID and the respective PIN codes. |
