PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector having a lock, which has small outside dimensions and comprises a locking mechanism which is easily unlocked. SOLUTION: In the electrical connector with the lock, a first connector has a locking piece and an unlocking arm. The locking piece is of L shape, and an engaging part for engaging with the second connector is provided on one side of the L shape and a protruding part for butting with a cam of the unlocking arm is provided on another side. The unlocking arm is displaced in the direction of width, the cam is butted against the protruding part, the locking piece is displaced in the direction of thickness, and the engaging part is released. The second connector has a metal shell comprising an engaging window for engaging with the engaging part, and the engaging window is formed, to open toward external of the second connector and be narrowed inwardly. When the first and second connector are fitted, the engaging part and the engaging window are engaged and will not protrude from one face of the second connector to external.
