PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an magnetic head which the shape in the recording gap is not deformed and does not generate any errors in magnetic recording/ regenerating. SOLUTION: The magnetic head is formed of laminating a reproducing head part 8 provided with a magnetic resistance effect element 14 and a recording head 7. The reproducing head part 8 is equipped with the magnetoresistance element 14 and a pair of electrodes 17 and a pair of insulating layers 13 and 15 which at least include magnetoresistance element 14 and electrode layer 17, wherein the concave part 15a is formed by the difference of coating thickness, and on the insulating layer 15, are formed on the laminated magnetic core layer 16, the core concave part 16a is formed which corresponds to the concave part 15a, and in the core concave part 16a, the filling magnetic layer are filled to flattening the interface 16b between magnetic core 16 and recording gap layer 20 to form the magnetic head.
