PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic numbering and registration system for management symbols or numbers in information management which can automatically give, manage, and register a management symbol or number as a key for the management by the input of a management object item and facilitates their retrieval, correction, deletion, or the like. SOLUTION: According to the management object item which is inputted from an input device 1, the management symbol or number as the key for the information management is automatically given by a data processor 2 and a storage device 3 when initially registered and management information is recorded in correspondence therewith to enable the retrieval of the recorded management information at proper time; and processing for correction, deletion, etc., can be performed when necessary.
