PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulosic polymer, especially an organic solvent solution of a cellulose ester, which is highly safe, loads the environment little, and can reduce the investment in plant and equipment (i.e., can be produced at a low cost). SOLUTION: An organic solvent solution of a cellulosic polymer is produced by dissolving the polymer in a mixed solvent comprising lower than 5 mass% carbon dioxide and 95 mass% or higher organic solvent.
