COPPER PHTHALOCYANINE COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER AND BLUE COLOR FILTER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color filter having high spectral transmittance in the transmission spectrum at the wavelength from 400 nm to 450 nm in the red portion and showing more reddish color and high brightness. SOLUTION: The copper phthalocyanine composition for a color filter contains copper phthalocyanine having such properties that the wavelength (λmax) corresponding to the maximum spectral transmittance of the transmission spectrum from 380 nm to 780 nm is <478 nm and that the spectral transmittance of the transmission spectrum from 400 nm to 450 nm wavelength is higher in the above whole wavelength range than that of e-type copper phthalocyanine. The copper phthalocyanine composition for a color filter contains copper phthalocyanine (A) having diffraction peaks at 5.0±0.2 deg., 8.4±0.2 deg. and 9.8±0.1 deg. Bragg angle (2θ) in the powder X-ray diffraction chart measured by CuKαline. The color filter contains the above composition.
