PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black composite iron oxide pigment having a deep black color, and further excellent in acid resistance and light resistance. SOLUTION: This black composite iron oxide pigment comprises an iron oxide granular powder which is formed by coating surfaces of the granular powder with an organosilane compound or polysiloxane formed from an alkoxysilane and making an organic blue pigment adhere to the coated surfaces, and further has an average major axis of 0.08-1.0μm, wherein the organic blue pigment in an amount of 1-50 pts.wt. is adhered to the iron oxide granular powder in an amount of 100 pts.wt.
