PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder for a nonwoven glass fabric which, even when a resin varnish containing an organic solvent is used as a matrix resin raw material, can give a composite laminate having a sufficiently high heat resistance without causing the degradation in strengths of a nonwoven fabric or the cutting in the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This binder is prepared by reacting a condensate of a hydrolyzate of a silane compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkylene; R3 is an organic group; (m) is 2 or 3; (n) is 0-5; and (x) is 1-3) with glycidyl (meth)acrylate.
