PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube device which is capable of realizing required high focusing performance over its entire screen, particularly around the upper and lower parts by correcting distortion of its beam spot shape which occurs asymmetrically on the screen. SOLUTION: In a cathode-ray tube 1, a magnetic field leaking from a deflection yoke 8, in particular from a vertical deflection coil 11, toward an electron gun 6 side is shielded with a ring-shaped magnetic body 14 whose center is positioned in the rear of a main lens 15 of an electron gun 6 formed within the neck part 4 of the cathode-ray tube 1 in the range of 15 to 35 mm toward the cathode side.
