PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the life span of a fine-shake actuator and provide a magnetic disk device excellent in reliability. SOLUTION: Characteristically, a disk having information, a head which reads out the information, the fine-shake actuator which supports and positions the head, a rough-shake actuator which is provided with the fine-shake actuator and positions the head, a controlling means which controls the fine-shake actuator and the rough-shake actuator based on servo information the head reads out and a high-ranked controlling means which judges if the information is read out is provided, and when the high-ranked controlling means judges that an operation is on standby, the positioning operation of the fine-shake actuator is stopped.
